65 Next-Gen Stars of the #DatFam Data Visualization Community
Tableau’s Next 2022 Cohort… By the numbers
65 People | 18 Countries | 5 Continents
Tableau’s Next celebrates newer community members or more veteran members who have ramped up their content. These members have a solid potential to be recognized by Tableau as a future ambassador or the program formerly considered the Zen Master program. They share vizzes, participate in the community, blog, and so much more.
I launched this initiative because our newer members, although not officially recognized (yet) by Tableau, are the future of our community and data visualization in general. They represent global growth, diversity, innovation, and leadership.
We will also celebrate community stalwarts who had significant contributions for a long time but have yet to be officially recognized.
Notes
- Nominators had the option to share why the person deserved to be considered in this Tableau’s Next cohort, some of which have been added to the cohort listing.
- Tableau Student Ambassadors qualify as their ambassadorship is conditional on being a student.
- There were well over 100 nominations of more than 90 people. However, many people were disqualified because Tableau already officially recognized them.

Elisa’s passion is to use data to make the world a better, more efficient place. With only two beginner training sessions in Tableau, she ended up overhauling the entire metrics and prospect tracking system for the Development team at the University of Nevada, Reno. Over the last five years, she has been participating in numerous training and challenges, attending conferences and user groups, and learning everything she can to improve her techniques and skills. I believe she will be a powerful player in data viz.

Harim’s out-of-the-box thinking is so reflected in her visuals. They are complicated (technical-wise) yet simple to comprehend and that’s what I like a lot.

Idris is following in the footsteps of other Nigerian community leaders include Abby Oni and Zainab Ayodimeji and in just a short period of time, he has demonstrated that community engagement and hard work really do pay off. He was a student ambassador, but the dude is a beast. Viz art, infographics, basic charts, crazy charts. I swear there was a period he had 3 VOTDs in my discovery view.

Raquel is a classmate of mine in Chantilly Jaggernauth’s Millennials and Data Professional Cohort. Her work is consistently clean and impressive. She is growing by leaps and bounds. I’m especially impressed by her designs that incorporate Figma backgrounds, as her most recent participation in the #B2VB Thanksgiving challenge. She demonstrates a commitment to pushing what’s possible with Tableau from a style perspective. And, she backs it up with solid analytical chops — her take on the Regional Price Parity MakeoverMonday data set is impressively digestible considering the topic’s complexity. As an added bonus, Raquel’s voice adds to the diversity of the #datafam. I look forward to following her work and believe other people should have that opportunity also!
